THE PROJECTS WE SUPPORT
End Violence Against Women- UN Women
$1 = Helps Papua New Guinean women rebuild their lives and live free of violence.
In the highlands of PNG, up to 100% women experience violence regularly. Many are beaten on a daily basis. Sexual harassment is also extremely common in markets, where women's ability to do business is crucial for the strength of their communities. When women are safe from violence, entire communities and economies flourish.
Support A Child To Recover- Australian Childhood Foundation
$50 = Helps provide one-on-one specialised therapeutic counselling for a child who has experienced family violence.
Every night in Australia 46,000 children can’t sleep in their own beds because they are at risk of being abused or neglected. In one-on-one therapeutic counseling, children are supported to understand the abuse was not their fault and they are worthy of love. Holding children in strong relationships, they come to trust their connection with caring people as a source of nurturing and comfort, not hurt and betrayal.
Educate A Girl - Her Future Coalition
$1.50 = Pays for a day of high quality education for a girl living in a Kolkata slum.
In the male-dominated slums of Kolkata, girls come second in every way. They are rarely sent to school, and often end up forced into child marriages, child labor or sex trafficking. Even for families who do want schooling for their girls, a decent education is unaffordable. By providing education and academic tutoring, Her Future Coalition ensures that girls have the chance of breaking the cycle of poverty and exploitation by getting a quality education.
