VETIVER

(Vetiveria zizanoides)

Vetiver is a tall grass that is native to India and also goes by the name Khus. The root of the grass is steam distilled in order to get the dark brown or amber essential oil. Vetiver is a deeply relaxing oil which promotes a sense of calmness, making it ideal for when you’re feeling under pressure and need to de-stress.

Aromatic Profile
Vetiver has a deep woody, smoky and earthy aroma. It blends well with other oils like clary sage, lavender, ylang ylang, rose, jasmine, lemon, sandalwood, helichrysum and patchouli.

Uses
Vetiver is an incredibly soothing essential oil that can help treat sleeplessness, anxiety and depression, it works to release anger and frustration making it a great choice for meditation. With antiseptic actions it will assist with certain skin conditions like acne and can be used to heal cuts and wounds. It also helps to boost metabolism and promote a healthy digestive system by fighting indigestion and constipation.
